Shell shocked by ex-Turtle Howard Kaylan

Howard Kaylan of The Turtles and Frank Zappa's The Mothers has written a memoir book that is planned for an April release.
Rolling Stone has published an excerpt that includes the story about The Turtles' performance at the White House in 1969 at Tricia Nixon's coming-out party.

Beatles collaborator Tony Sheridan has died

Tony Sheridan who worked with The Beatles in the very early stages of their carreer has died at the age of 72.
The Beatles met Sheridan in Germany in the early 60's and they backed him up by on the record My Bonnie in 1961, the groups first recording session.
