Steely Dan in Japan: "It's not cheap and it's not free"

The dates in Japan are coming up. Tokyo, Osaka and Fukuoka are the places with multiple dates in each city.

It also marks the debut of a new set of upscale clubs under the name of Billboard Live that according to this article caters for persons with a "well-endowed wallet".

Six dates in Tokyo and Osaka respectively plus three in Fukuoka adds up to the Heavy Rollers 2007 tour of Japan:

Aug 18, 19, 20, 22, 23, 24 - Billboard Live Tokyo - Tokyo
Aug 26, 27, 28, 30, 31, Sep 01 - Billboard Live Osaka - Osaka
Sep 03, 04, 05 - Billboard Live Fukuoka - Fukuoka

According to reports the dates will consist of two one hour shows /day.

In Sweden the tickets for the 90 minute show was priced at 350:- Swedish kronor = 52 $ = 26 £.

A bargain compared to the Tokyo prices that start at 19 000 yen = 161 $ = 80 £ = 1 090 Swedish kronor.

Regardless the Tokyo dates are sold out. And Radio Dupree is sure that the shows will be wonderful and great and offer a very different experience compared to the U.S. and Europead dates. Let's just say that it's shows for a different income bracket. Hope they have the brains and hearts to enjoy it...
