Walter Becker's Circus Money is seven!

Yes. This week it is seven years ago since Circus Money was released. A great album back then and we think that it is even better in 2015!

So we're featuring it on Radio Dupree. Every single track. On the playlist. Now.

11 Tracks of Whack and Circus Money. The next and third one is hopefully on the way and in the works. (The world would be a better place with a third Walter Becker solo album in it!)

Happy Birthday John Fogerty!

CCR: John Fogerty, Doug Clifford, Tom Fogerty and Stu Cook.
That guy on the left is John Fogerty. He's about 25 years old and the photo is the cover of the single Up Around The Bend by the group Creedence Clearwater Revival released in 1970.

It is also my very first rock record after a Swedish kiddie LP and a pop ditto single.
John Fogerty is still making and playing music. A few days ago (May 28) he celebrated his 70th birhday.

A perfect time to add some extra Creedence Clearwater Revival as well as John Fogerty solo stuff to the Radio Dupree playlist during June.

Enjoy.

Grateful Dead farewell show in cinemas all over the world

Fare Thee Well. With close to 50 years around legendary U.S. band Grateful Dead has decided to quit with three already sold out shows in Chicago.
The four original members Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Phil Lesh, and Bob Weir will be joined on stage by Trey Anastasio (guitar), Jeff Chimenti (keyboards), and Bruce Hornsby (piano).

In Sweden six cinemas will show the July 5 show on July 6 and cinemas in other parts of the world will do the same. More info here! But Radio Dupree is still surprised, as the band hardly can be called a household name although it has been around since the 1960's.
In the U.S. movie theatres will livestream all three shows.

Adding to the festivities there's also a limited run of 6 500 copies of the box set 30 Trips Around The Sun containing 30 live shows from 1966 - 1995 for a total of more than 73 hours of music on 80 CDs. Yep. A pretty BIG box!
You can also get it on a limited edition USB stick in high definition (FLAC 96/24) and mp3. 1 000 copies made. The price for these collector items? 699.98 US Dollars.
