Reeling through the channels

The Next Great American Band is apparently yet another music show on TV where they try to find the flavor of the month, with a winner that'll survive an album or two before being relegated to the has-beens. Perharps with a little luck eligible for a part in some reality show where they round up the sad remnants of fleeting fame and let them make a final spectacle of themselves. You get the drift.
