Lisa Loeb covers Steely Dan on Conan

Since we started this here Radio Dupree thingy on two must-play-artists; Frank Zappa and Steely Dan, we feel obliged to post this brand new performance of Dirty Work by Lisa Loeb. The connection of course being a Steely Dan song sung by Lisa who in the early 2000's had a personal and professional relationship with Dweezil Zappa.

And here's the web exclusive performance from the TV show Conan.

What a beautiful website ! Thank you for all these informations (unavailable in France, where Zappa is half-forgotten, and Steely Dan absolutely unknown).

May I give you a link ? It's my modest contribution to mister Fagen's fame... (my blog is not a "music blog", but I'm a sincere Dan fan since the begining of the eighties)

Very good! We will have to refresh our school French, but already now we could understand some of the quotes on your blog. May we ask if you are familiar with the french "zeuhl" group Magma? Are they still touring and recording?

Magma is still alive ! They are still recording (2012) and touring (I'm gonna see them on stage next april !)
BUT I won't say they're considered as superstars in France... In my opinion, 95% of young people have never heard a word about them.

You are lucky! I wish they would play a concert here in Sweden.
