Weekend music ... and musings

Hey! Another week zoomed by and here's the weekend again!

Inbetween doing little to nothing in the sun Siggy's been busy listening to the recently found 70's Zappa/Ponty recording (read more on the Radio Dupree homepage) while I've just placed my order for the Steely Dan tribute album The Royal Dan. Should be spinning on Radio Dupree next week, but if you like to hear at least a little of what people like Al DiMeola, Steve Lukather and Mike Stern do to classic Steely Dan songs you can catch 30 second clips over at the audiophileimports homepage.

More on the tribute album can be read on the Radio Dupree homepage.

Very, very weird version of Morph... for sale

Here's a weird find on Ebay. A "special" version of Donald Fagen's Morph The Cat. (Pictured above.) With extra tracks listed: 10. Rocky Mountain Way, 11. In My Life, 12. Mississippi Queen, 13. Go Now, 14. Woman & 15. 21St Century Schizoid Man.

Huh?

Looked what other records the seller had for sale and it was a wide variety of artists and records with weird extra tracks. And all - like Morph The Cat - filed under "hip-hop". Legit or bootlegs?

Finally: Here's hoping that Keith Richards makes a full recovery from his tree accident. If only to slap the Swedish tabloids Expressen and Aftonbladet around the head after they've more or less delared him dead just to sell a few extra copies.
The truth will get you in the end...

Have a great weekend!
