David Byrne & Brian Eno's new album streamed!

It's here! If you have flash working you should see (and hear) the player just below in this post.
All the songs from the new album Everything That Happens Will Happen Today can be heard here or on the site http://www.everythingthathappens.com/.

That's also the place to go to buy the "record". So far as a download only, but actual CD copies are forthoming.

"Hair today, gone tomorrow"...

Interesting to see how established artists try to find new ways of getting the music to the listeners. Byrne/Eno are doing this without any record company. Saw that the free song they put up a week or so ago was downloaded 40 000 times in the first three days.

Some measure of success I guess, but the trick is to make some money off of this downloading business. A pay-what-you-like scheme like Radiohead did with the latest album ... well, we're not entirely convinced that will work.
Maybe "extras" like the artwork + video-CD version that Byrne/Eno offers? Having diferent mp3 + FLAC + CD alternatives must be a good thing.

(Oh! And we'll try to keep our posts to a minimunm to let you get on with your work... ;))
